Hey guys here is my fifth and final instalment of festive edition Monday manis. For the month of December I have been letting you guys know what festive nail looks I have been wearing.

For the final week we have the :

Celebration 2-14 mani

This week it's all about saying goodbye to the year 2014 and getting ready to welcome in a new year! How quick did that come round ey? I wanted to try new nail polishes that I would normally stay far from for my last nail looks of 2014.

The 1st of January 2015 will also mark mine and Mal's anniversary, so I'm wanting the nails to be quite pretty for that occasion too.
Whenever I think of New Years Eve I always think of Will Smith Will 2k video. Him in the metallic silver top and hardware I wanted to try to recreate some form of metallic love for my nails too. Scroll on down as I've left the video below, a nice little throwback tune for ya.

As I couldn't decide on one nail look I have two options here.

For the first look I have used Barry M Instant Nail Effects Foil.

Now I really really like this nail polish. I think it is so glamorous and something a little different. The only thing with this nail polish is that it applies quite streaky. I am not sure if this is something that gets better with practise, but brush strokes are definitely visible for me. Other than that the formula itself is classic Barry M, quite a thick consistency that dries pretty quickly. Not the easiest to apply due to not wanting visible brush strokes, but opaque after 2 coats. I also think the foil/silver colour will suit all skin types as it is a vibrant, radiant colour.

For the second look I have used J nail polish and Barry M Instant Nail Effects Foil for the dots.

I bought this J nail polish in a hair shop for 99p. Oh the joys. For my 99p, my nail polish did not come with a name, but I would describe it as a navy blue shade. I do love a good 'dotticure', when done using complimentary shades they can look rather fetch. Yes I did say fetch :). I didn't want something too obvious, so chose to stick to dark colours with a futuristic hint, hence the silver dots. I personally love using dots to create some nail art as they are super simple to do. I cannot do nail art but find the dots super simple. I start from the middle and move onto each side of the nail using a pen dipped in the nail polish colour of my choice to create the dots. I do have my eye on a dotting tool that will hopefully be added to my nail collection soon.

[Inside note : I don't feel I have pained my nails the best here. I did want to paint my nails again as my dots were not similar on the each nail, but Mal laughed and said no one would mind so here's hoping they still look okay].

For this week we have my fourth instalment of festive edition Monday mani's. I let you guys know the festive inspired nail looks I will be rocking this December.

This week we have the :

#Caimas nails

(Yes I have made my sons bday/Xmas event into a hash tag lol).

This week [for me] is all about my sons 2nd birthday and spending Christmas with family. My son is born on Christmas day so that is where my main focus will be for this time of year. I will be decorating the house a little as at this time of year it is nice to have a little festivity around. I have done a separate post on our Christmas decorations which you can read here.
I have tried to bring that festive cheer to my nail looks this week too.

I again have 2 options this week. Less indecisive, more my nails chipped so they had to get painted again.

For this first look I have used Barry M Red Wine nail polish and Barry M Gold Glitter on my ring finger.

Barry M Red Wine nail polish is within my top 5 all time favourites polishes. It is the most gorgeous deep red, the perfect all year round colour. At this time of year don't we all love a red nail for Christmas I wanted to give a little twist on the standard red mani. You all know how much I love Barry M Gold Glitter I use it alllllll theee time. Nothing speaks festivity to me more than some glitter, gold glitter to be precise. I think having it on my ring fingers really does compliment the red wine nail polish. Using glitter with a standard nail polish also helps to add some texture and depth to a manicure. I used approximately 3 and a little coats of gold glitter to achieve full coverage.

For my second look I have used Barry M Pomegranate Gelly nail polish and Barry M Ruby Slippers glitter nail polish.

Now this is just everything and more I want for a #Caimas nail. I think this nail look is so pretty! Barry M Pomegranate is a gorgeous deep magenta shade, but when paired with Barry M Ruby Slippers glitter, they are just a combo for the nail heavens. I think this mani look is perfect for those wanting a little twist on the red nail. Ruby Slippers is a beautiful deep shaded pink - red glitter with specks of white, lighter pink and purple shimmer. GORGEOUS! I also love that this glitter mani is not too out there as some glitters can be quite obnoxious. I feel this is a great way to wear a muted glitter without loosing any of the extra factor.

For this week we have the :

Party All Night Nails

This weeks mani is all about the upcoming Christmas party's. With just over a week left until Christmas, many work places, friends and extended family members usually have their Christmas Party around this time. This can be anything from a small office party, a gathering at a friends house, to dinner or a full blown night out (with additional hangover in the morning).

So with this in mind, I wanted to do a pretty glam mani that will also have lasting power through work days all ready for your special Christmas night out.

For this weeks Party All Night Nails I have given you two options :)

For the first look I have used Revlon Colorstay in Amethyst with Barry M Gold Glitter on the tips.

Don't we love purple shades for winter. I found this little gem in T K Maxx for £2 bloody bargain! I think this mani is so suitable for the festive season as it reminds me a little of Christmas pudding lol. This is a great purple nail polish with some shimmer running through it. Not an obvious shimmer, but enough to add a nice finish to the polish. For me this mani wouldn't be complete without some glitter added and what better polish to use, than the Barry M Gold Glitter to add some extra dazzle to this look.

For the second look I have Beauty UK White Out nail polish.

I think it is safe to say I am a Beauty UK lover, and they have moved up to my faves with Barry M nail polishes. Beauty UK's White Out reminds me of snow. Its is almost a creamy looking nail polish which I love and helps to give another dimension to the nails. Super complimentary, gorgeous formula. A win for me for a great festive nail.

I think both these looks will work well for your potential Christmas Party. You can't go wrong with reliable white and royal purple nails as they go with everything and suit everyone!
