Monthly Wishes : January

Hey guys,

I love reading blogs and one of my favourite posts to read are monthly favourites.
I wanted to try to spread that love here on Mellies Corner but I am such a loyal consumer, that I would absolutely run out of things to favourite each month, by March :).

So with wanting to have a monthly feature on me blog, and having a million thousand items on my mental wish list...

Wishes
was born :)

Nothing too deep. This will be where I share with you the products that have caught my eye, or that have been highly recommended, or products and items I am simply lusting after but will not commit to buying (for reasons outside of my control lol).

Most months will contain items from me and bubba, but papa bear will add his two pence here and there I am sure :). I hope you enjoy.

2nd Birthday & #Caimas Recap

Hey guys,

I just wanted to share with you all how we celebrated bubba's 2nd birthday.

I am that naughty parent who forever forgets to take pictures! Once I get all engrossed in what's going on my phone is usually left somewhere, where I am not, nor remember its whereabouts, or even that I have a phone.

My son was born on Christmas day so for this year we went to celebrate with family - Aunties, Uncles, Cousins etc in Essex which was lovely.

A few days before his birthday Cai came down with his first ever fever when we were heading off to see Mal's sister who lives 2 hours drive away :(.
I felt so terrible for him but he was such a little treasure and played and ran away from their dog with all the energy he could muster. We kept him dosed up on Calpol and Ibuprofen as that was all that held his temperature down.

Our Anniversary

Mal and I celebrated our anniversary this year on the 1st of January :).
It was quite a special one as it is our first anniversary together, since we have been reunited.
I did a small Happy Anniversary post if you wish to see.

I thought I would just follow things up with a small post and a few pictures showing you what we got up to.

Due to Mal's faith we make quite a big deal out of anniversaries; so I was so excited to finally buy him something big and have a 'extra special' day to celebrate. He treats me like a princess .... I mean his name is not Prince of Arabia for no reason lol.
I am super girly and very mooshy if you couldn't tell, so sorry in advance if this is a lil over kill but there are no kissy pictures so you are safe to see all ;).

We had our anniversary meal at Inamo in Soho, which is an oriental fusion restaurant......but we did not love. Not many options on the menu apart from Sushi (I read the wrong location menu on the internet, so the menu may differ at a different site) but the interactive tables were so fun. Think minority report for ordering food, with games to play and chefs to watch in the kitchen too.

2014 Favourites : Parent Edition

Hello lovelies.
Hoping you are all well.

For today's post I will be showing you the things Mal & I were loving throughout 2014.

Now, for Mal's aka Daddy's 2014 favourites really this is all there is :

Fifa bloody 15 :)

Although I cannot be too mad at this game as (thankfully, in some forms) we do not currently have a PS4 which means he cannot play it at home. Mal and his mates usually once a week have a Fifa tournie as they call it. Which usually results in me wishing and hoping he wins so he is a happy bunny when he comes home. Cai joins them sometimes too for a bit of *boys time* as they do.

Mal is actually pretty good and usually woops their ass'. Sorry James & Reece.

2014 Favourites : Monday Mani Edition

Hey ya'll.

For this post I will be counting down my Top 5 Monday Mani's of 2014.

I paint my nails so often that I have collected a few favourite nail looks that I have shown here on Mellies Corner.

Barry M is still my favourite nail polish brand as they are so affordable, they come in an array of colours and formula's, and are very easy to access.

However, I have found another nail brand fave in the shape of Beauty UK. I found them in Superdrug and I love the formula and application of these nail polishes. They are also affordable, however I have not tried out as many colours as Barry M so they stay a firm second in my list.

The looks below are all polishes that I continuously revisit and recommend to friends and family.

2014 Favourites : Toddler

Here we are, well into the first weeks of a new year. 2015 to be exact.

Cairo's 2014 favourites

Cairo entered 2014 as a 1 year old so along with that came a change in toys as his imagination and concentration span grew. The following items are all items we know Cai loves and some of them we carry with us when venturing out. These are items that get used every single day.

New Year ... New Post

Hey guys, and a Happy New Year to you all.

How fast did 2014 go by, and I'm told the years only go by quicker the older you get. How fun!

For the first month of this new year I wanted to share with you some of the things we - Mal, Cai and I enjoyed over 2014.

Cai had his 2nd birthday on Christmas day, so I shall be sharing some insight into his big day. I still cannot believe I have a 2 year old little boy.

Bubba turning 2 also means we have been part of the parent club for 2 years, so I shall be doing a little update also.

I am also back to studying again this month which will be more intense, so posting on my blog will happen at least every Monday and Thursday morning.
